This might be the single greatest thing I've ever seen. I know it takes a while to get going, but trust me... it is so worth it. I'd tell you more about it, but it's really beyond words.

Beautiful Day

Today in Nashville it is cloudy and cold. The temperature isn't supposed to get above freezing, and I'm about to spend the next nine hours in a windowless office. But I could not possibly be happier... for both political and personal reasons.

I've mentioned before how youtube might be the single greatest invention ever dreamed up by mankind. This morning I stumbled onto this video and it did nothing to make me revisit that opinion... Willie Nelson, Elvis Costello, and Diana Krall singing "Crazy." So good it gave me goosebumps.

Happy Birthday Hiphopopotamus

Two years ago I posted about all the singers and musicians that are celebrating a birthday today, which clearly makes January 10 the most awesome musical birthdate of the year. If that illustrious list isn't enough to convince you of that fact, consider this... also celebrating today is Flight Of The Conchords Jemaine Clement.

The second season of Flight Of The Conchords the tv show begins next Sunday, January 18, on HBO. But if you're not the patient type, you can watch the first episode in its entirety here. With all the birthday awesomeness to celebrate, I've only been able to watch the first five minutes, but those five minutes were absolutely hilarious.

And Happy Birthday to all the super cool musician type people who were born today. Capricorns rock it the most.
